EMSA APPROVED ROSTER PROCESS FOR LEAGUE PLAY

TEAMS MUST BE REGISTERED IN OSCAR A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE LEAGUE PLAY

 Any Club registering players for League play or for Training purposes must complete the following:

1.     Read, understand and keep the RTP up to date Ontario Soccer’s Return to Play Guide (the plan) – Protocols and Recommendations document.  

2.     All affiliated Clubs/Academies/Leagues must complete Canada Soccer's Risk Assessment Tool( to be completed by ONE executive of the member).

3.     Collect documents required from parents/players/coaches (RTP waivers, player registration forms, Rowan’s Law forms etc.)

4.     Register Players/Staff into OSCAR

5. comply with ROWAN'S LAW, required by Law - Gov of Ontario site

6. Review   EMSA HOW TO GUIDE (May 2022)

Helpful reminders:

•Team Name (Club Name, Gender, YOB, League, Division, Team Name if applicable) 

• Grassroots Players (U4-12) are to be on ONE POOL, not individual 'teams"

•       Put Staff’s NCCP# in comment box by staff’s name.  Each Staff should be titled (HC, AC, MGR).        Any manager listed on a youth or grassroots roster = Making Ethical Decision & RIS

•       Submit in OSCAR for EMSA approval, once your team is complete (and a minimum of 2 weeks prior to League play), please email admin@emsadistrict.com and asstadmin@emsadistrict.com that your roster is ready for a printed approved roster. EMSA will review and email an EMSA approved roster which should be available at all games, required for all leagues. Paper Copy Only.  Each time a new player is added a new roster is required, please allow sufficient time for EMSA to approve 

•  U13-18 Youth Competitive  can register 20 players, only 18 can be on game sheet

•  U8 - U12 Grassroots players in EMDSL required to have cards as per EMDSL's R&R

• Travel Insurance for travel outside Canada

• Fast Track forms must be signed by fully qualified TD

CLUBS to have teams registered into OSCAR no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the season.

Clubs within EMSA please enter the staff's NCCP# in the comment box on OSCAR by their name.

The Team Official Registration Form (see below) will be required to be completed for Grassroots (U4-U12) and Youth (U13-U18) as well as Senior Competitive teams for CLUBS PLAY INTO EMSA. 

It is the club's responsibility to confirm that the team official's information is correct and has the necessary Certification for the team age/division that they are coaching.  Club Executive should be confirming correct coaching qualifications by going to www.coach.ca, click public transcript, enter coaches NCCP # and last name for list of courses.
