PLEASE NOTE ENHANCES REQUIREMENTS FOR OPDL: Head Coaches must be B Licence certified and Assistant Coaches must be C Licence certified.
Making Ethical Decisions workshop is considered completed regardless if this has been taken in person, online or home study. Successful completion of the EVALUATION is necessary for coach certification in any NCCP Program . Both must be done, workshop and evaluation.
C License Information
All coaches & managers need:
- MED (course AND online evaluation
- Respect in Sport – expires every 5 years, needs to be up to
date
- Making Headway
- Understanding the Rule of Two
- Emergency Action Planning
Coaches & Assistant Coaches need:
- Fundamentals (U7-U9)
- Learn to Train (U10-U13)
- Soccer For Life (U14+)
- Online & in-person practical components must be completed
**Outdoor 2026 - TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND TEAM MANAGER CERTIFICATIONS**
Managers
Any managers for youth/grassroots, listed on the SE ROSTER will require Making Ethical Decisions and Respect in Sport
(coaches are to follow OS Certification requirements)
Managers must be at least 16 years of age.
Technical Directors (authorized to sign Fast Track Forms)
Technical
Directors for clubs who wish to have players fast tracked will be
required to be fully qualified = TD Diploma.

The Locker not showing certificates?
PLEASE be advised that if a coach believes that they have taken a course and doesn't show up on THE LOCKER in coach.ca that they should email coach@coach.ca with this information to see if they have two different NCCPs.

Various notes:
Starting in 2017 the
former Senior Certification will no longer be valid for any coach.
Please be advised that it is mandatory that all competitive coaches
upgrade their certification to the Soccer For Life course.
The R.I.S. (Respect in Soccer) certificates must be upgraded every 5 years.
